Classic 1957 Chevy styling meets modern V8 muscle. This stunning Left-Hand Drive (LHD) sedan is a turn-key cruiser wrapped in beautiful Tropical Turquoise paint.
A truly reluctant sale. My partner absolutely hates sitting in the "middle" of the road on UK roads! Her fear is your gain. We are parting ways with this beauty to hunt for a Right-Hand Drive (RHD) classic instead.
The car was built on August 27, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri. It came to the UK from Texas in 2018. Full paperwork shows it was officially registered in the UK on June 30, 2019.
The Powertrain
Forget the old straight-six engine. The previous owner turned this into a proper street machine. It now runs a powerful 350 Small Block crate V8 engine paired with a smooth 700R4 overdrive automatic gearbox. It is estimated to push out a healthy 330 bhp!
High-performance upgrades include:
- Edelbrock Carb & Intake: 4-barrel 600cfm carb with performance manifold.
- Ignition & Electrical: HEI distributor, new alternator, and electric wiper motor conversion.
- Cooling: Upgraded radiator to keep things running sweet.
- Style: Full engine chrome "dress-up" pack.
- Sound: Completely new exhaust system with an incredible, head-turning note.
- Power Steering: Light and easy to maneuver.
- Power Brakes: Front disc brake conversion for reliable stopping power.
- Wheels: Classic American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
- Tyres: Galaxie R1 G/T tyres (215/60-15 front, 235/60-15 rear) with a massive 6mm of tread.
- Includes steel spare wheel with a brand-new tyre and the original jack.Condition & Interior
- The Look: Tropical Turquoise paint and classic chrome shine beautifully. Only minor bits could use a deeper polish in those hard-to-reach spots.
- Underneath: The entire underside is fully undersealed. All steering joints and bearings are in great condition.
- Cabin: The interior is highly original and in fantastic shape for its age. It features sound-deadening under the carpets and in the boot, new BelAir logo rubber mats, and a brand-new time clock fitted just weeks ago. New stainless wiper arms and blades were also just installed.
- Mileage: Last serviced in March 2024. While no mileage is shown on the paperwork, we estimate it has only done around 2,000 miles since the massive mechanical overhaul.
