I am nursing a slipping clutch on the daily but thought sod it I’ll risk it again and get a few hours in at the workshop.
Continuing from the last update, some ‘fixing’ / bodging of the English wheel adjuster for now. I cut some steel drew some lines and tried my best. Not as good as the front panel I just done, I had to re fettle in the English wheel leaving some lines in the steel but I can live with it I think.
A gap in the bead for fuel outlet. The pics can do the talking.

I made it back to the workshop this evening to make a start on the rear devide. Seeing as the fuel tank is behind me Im sealing up the area. I’m not finished yet but it’s more progress.
I made this out of the slightly thicker steel like the tubs.

I got what I wanted done today, fighting some kind of lurgy, but battled through.
Divide trimmed up a bit and riv nuts added to it so it can bolt to the parcel shelf of the Austin.
Rear most floor fettled a tad.
Removed rear floor to add riv nuts in to the tank mounts.
Slapped some weld through primer around, and on some of the bits that will struggle to see a top cloat due to positioning, at least they have a covering of something.
I then moved forward to the D bars, from the main hoop to cross member. That the driver side one has to divert around the seat. This ment altering the floor a tad as the little snout I made was obviously in the way.

Heres some pics of the current progress, passenger side floor mocked up.
Driver side under seat section mocked up.
Front section of driver floor mocked up. This part needs to have a quick release brake fluid access pannel and also that section of floor removable for brake pedal assembly maintenance.
The access to the brake fluid also acts as a levelling panel for my brake pedal foot.
Very nice Tom, looking well good mate, them shoes could do with a polish mate. [emoji23]

Today I had the full day at the workshop. I knew I had to get there early and crack on managed to get to the workshop for 8.
I make a list on my phone of what I want to achieve when I’m there, today I diverted slightly from my list as wanted to make big progress as I can do the little bits and bobs when I don’t have as much time in the week.
So today was the day where I made up a bulk head brace. Due to the bulk head staying on the chassis I wanted to make it a bit more solid, it should help when removing the body and re fitting. Hole saw and dimple die out and soon had that brace made and migged to the fire wall, tigged to the chassis. In my opinion the bulk head is probably the worst bit as it was early on in the tin work stages but I’m living with it!
On to the passenger side lower bulk head, I knew these bits would take some time. Out with the card and made a template, over to the steel and slowly tweaking it in to place.
Once that side was good I could make a small extension of the floor section. I had to make this after the bulk head out of a small bit of steel to save messing up a big bit, and it would be staying on the chassis aswell so was all good.
Move over to the driver side and we have a brake pedal and steering in the way. I decided to pull the brake pedal out the way and remove steering. Build the tin work to follow the upper steel. This would be much neater, with the brake pedal I can make a little channel for the pedal to slot.
