any build shots of the coupe conversion?
Steve ordered the coupe panels of a guy in the States who reproduces them quite accurately, and tells you what you need to do,almost as a kit you might say.
Steve is looking in and will probably feed me some more photos i can post up .
But the basics of it are that you cut the 'coal bunker' of the back of the sedan, weld the kit on,fit a part of the rear door to the front door then later that afternoon cruise around the block in your new ride ,without it now full of kids dogs and picnic equipment :)
Of course we know its never that simple [:D],but you get the idea, here is a photo of the rear door bit you need,i think,is that right Steve ?

wow, that's awesome :thumbsup2:
Thanks for the replies guys :thinks: it rhymes :)
Steve looks in on this thread, it’s a big project and he is doing a great job ,oh forgot to say Chris Hay (of Rapid Plumbing Hilman Husky, 37 Dodge coupe,39 Hanomag fame) is over there lending a hand too.
The fuel tank is from a Mercedes and sits in the Mercedes in the same position, not behind the driver, silly, but behind the rear seat.
Any questions let me know and I will get the answers for you.:thumbs_up_smiley:
Lovely fabrication work. Be good to see a before & after picture, with the after on overlay to see the difference.
Loverly to see such craftsmanship bringing the car together as a coupe.
A couple more updates.
