Thanks Jane.
As long as you got plenty of material on there it shouldn't be a problem. Gently block out your run, soapy water helps to not scratch up the paint around it to much. Either polish or blow in if need be.
Leave it all to harden off then flat n polish away!!!!:)
Looking good tho.
Bit like this you mean? :D
Been polishing the cage yesterday, but had a quick play on the roof which has the worst orange peel;

And after a quick flat and polish :) ;

Got the roof polished up now and went over it with machine glaze last night, looks nice, but a couple of minor polishing scratches need to be re-done.
note the heavy use of masking sheet over the walls to catch the spray off the mop!

That really so nice, wow, come on a lot since I remember it one of the lst cars I saw being built
nice shine do you use a standard mop or a dual action,hope mine comes out as good
Thanks everyone.
I was not happy with the finish, but after re mopping in some areas and going over it again with the machine glaze it's really starting to pop now, I'm 95% happy with it.
A bit more work in a few areas and then a mop with a finishing polish (probably 3M Blue top or Rosa) and it should be show quality.
Oh Wow, that looks fabulous.
Adey,
It's a std mop (1-2800rpm), just run at slow speed (approx 1200rpm or no 1.5 on speed scale).
I use a variety of mop heads, hard/medium/soft for G3, then soft for G10, then a Farecla waffle mop for Finesse it, and another Farecla waffle for the machine glaze.
When I use the Rosa or Blue top I'll use a 3M blue waffle.
Looks really good Mark, you must be well chuffed with the shine on that mate.
Cheers. Tim W.
Roof pretty well finished, so moving on to flatting the rest of the body, sand,sand,sand,sand,sand.........:whistle:
