no mate, they do a 300w too but were out of stock. i was thinking back to 50w halogen floodlights so thought that'll be too bright and 200w was the brightest they had so got that. i forgot leds are much brighter these days, it must be the equivalent to 1000w or something :whistle:
oh well.
the zephyr's owner came here today and with a mate and they got it running briefly so he's happy. they're back next sunday with the fuel tank and some new ethanol proof pipe to hopefully make it a driver, i always hated pushing cars and it's not here for that so.....

it's getting like christmas lately with bits and bobs arriving. the gauge/'switch' panel arrived along with pressure switches, airline and some fittings. i'm not sure if i'll leave the 'soft' flexi pipes on the back of the gauge/switch panel, i don't like them. i have the fittings to swap it all for hard nylon like the rest of the system will be.
i also got an impco 200-d which is an lpg 'carb'. it's a nos 2.5" bore dual diaphram mixer that flows enough gas to support a 215hp engine. it was very cheap so despite not doing the lpg swap yet (he says, lol) it was so cheap i had to buy it now. it does give me the option to either turbo the 2.0 pinto and run it on gas or swap the 4.2 holden v8 in n/a on gas. either way the petrol tank and all it's fuel system will go and i'll only use lpg.

so i forgot to say i had a bo11ocking today for keep ordering nash parts :whistle:, so to keep her happy i just ordered a twin pack of viair 444c compressors off ebay :eek:. to be fair i used paypal credit to spread it over 18 months (under £20/month) and after extensive research they were my choice of compressor. the cheapest i'd found were £165 each inc' vat here and more once shipping and duties are applied from the usa due to crappy exchange rate. the pair were listed as buy it now for £299 with free p&p so what was i supposed to do? i guess i'll face the music when they arrive, lol.

well that was quick and i seem to have got away with it :whistle:
also some more fittings arrived and the 5m of 10mm airline too. with 2 compressors i'll need yet another fitting or two.

Haven't read everything but I've not seen any mention of an air tank. Just in case you're thinking its unnecessary, I'd say it is if you want instant air, not for dancing around ( with air??), but just making height adjustments without having to wait for compressor(s) to kick in and get to pressure etc

sorted mate, but rather than the £120-180 they want for 'proper' 3-5 gallon air suspension tanks i bought a new repro scania truck one off ebay. 30 litres (a bit over 6 gallons) for only £59.95 inc' delivery. that idea came easy after working in the haulage industry with my dad most of my life.

this afternoon i decided we'd change the pipes on the switch/gauge panel to hard nylon rather that the supplied 'washer' pipe (that's what it looks like) it came with. during the change i noticed the 'nipples' on the switches are about 4.5mm bore but all the 't' pieces are only 2.5mm. that's no good and luckily as i didn't know if the panel came with pipes and fittings i'd ordered 6mm push fittings for the job. so they were all swapped out and the vent holes in the switch backs were drilled to 4.5mm too. i'd watched a youtube video of this panel being setup and used and the guy drilled the holes too but said it made no difference. i'm not surprised if all the rest of the connections are too small also. hopefully by opening up all the lot it'll go up and down a little quicker.
it's a shame the zephyr's here for it's welding as i'd like it if we could get a start on the bag install now i have the parts.

i'm still getting odd fittings dribbling in through the post mate, it'll all be here soon.
they came and hooked up the petrol tank in the zephyr today and it now starts, stops, goes forwards and backwards and even stops (whatever next!). so when i can rope ashley in which probably won't be until saturday we can get the cars swapped over.
today though the tiling was done in my front porch, it had a good coat of tanking paint saturday as it's only single brick walls. with this colder weather i doubt we can grout until wednesday so dawn will have to continue taking parcels in through the front room window, lol. at least i'm holding up my end of the deal getting house jobs sorted for her, it turns out i like delegating.

ash popped round after work and we towed the nash over the road and drove the zephyr in ready for it's weldathon. i couldn't resist a few pics of the nash sat outside, lol. i know it's getting the airbags now but i had to drop the front a bit so i made a pair of spring compressors for the peculiar setup it has and lopped 4 coils off of each spring :eek:. at the height it's sitting there's still about 3" to the bumpstops :D. i think the front is about where it wants to be but the rear will be an inch higher, i do want to use it a lot so it needs to be practical after all.

i forgot to say, bear in mind it's about the size of a cortina and the wheels are 10x18 with 295 tyres and 9x18 with 275 tyres. it amazed me they fit as well as they do.

so looking forward to brake upgrades it looks like i'll use mk4 mondeo front and rear calipers, same car for the rear discs (302mm) and focus rs 2.5 front discs (336mm). discs that size shouldn't look lost in the 18" wheels and all of those parts are pretty cheap to buy, i like cheap. 4/6 pot wilwood's would be nice but the budget isn't there these days.
