Hi Jeff, long time no see. Hope you are all well.
When i first me Andy back a long time ago he had his first Blue Mk1 Zodiac with if i remember correctly a 260 sunbeam tiger engine fitted, at the time I had a Mk1 zodiac with a MK3 Zodiac engine and floor change box and triple Su carbs. Inspired by his car I bought a 289 Mercury Cougar engine from Steve Thompsons in Thornton heath and following instructions from Andy and Ron snr fitted this in my Mk1.
Not to be outdone Andy then fitted a 302 into his car, but unfortunatly a short while afterwards Andy was forced off the road down Beddington lane and the car hit a lampost.
Andy then looked around for a new car, and so convinced me to sell him my Mk1 less Engine and Box. This became Andy,s second Mk1 , again this one was short lived as this was the one that fell off a Garage ramp in Carshalton one lunchtime and damaged beyond repair, Again not Andy's fault .
The engine and box i was left with went into a MK4 Zodiac. A really easy install as the Early Mk4's had a C4 box, so it was dropped in onto the gearbox mounts and prop without any mods and just new engine mounts to make. A real sleeper that car . That was sold to a friend of Rons and my next car was 1972 Vx4/90 with a 350 Chevy .
God those were happy days, Roy

kc, purple mk1, big knockers! etc

The ex Andy Kehoe mk1, was sold onto Pete Grange of Hastings. (yes it was his wife that had the big knockers!), pete fitted the 351w, re-painted the car, re-wired it and got it into the 10's.
Pete then sold it too another guy locally, then had it back breifly before selling to a guy down Gloustershire way i think who frighten himself with it and last we heard was planning on a detune!
Pete went on to a bit of off roading before building a pro street Cougar (blue) now orange top blue lower with nineties style graphics. was a shot of it in CC recently.
Last i heard Pete had sold the car on due to a break up with her with the big knockers!!!!

I used to race these guys at the Pod in 'Gone Bananas' in the old days. I'll dig out some pics.
