The Thread perhaps should of been called Southend custom scene, wat the hell

Mopar did you go to all the shows at Southend

This MK 2 was all white once then white and red, first time i see it was in a gararge on the A13 Bread and Cheese Hill, think it was then called "white Lemon"??.The gararge used to have old 60s yanks round the back and over the fence.

Thats it-Thorneycroft Anter,i was talking to a guy last year at a show not far from Colchester,he had one there,he seamed to think the "hulk" was sold from Kirbys and someone else broke it???.The one i see at Colchester had petrol engine done one to the gallon, and aparently you need to give somekind of prior warning that you are going to use it??? on the road because of the width of it.
The Hulk was featured in Custom car, theres a pic of it going down Rayliegh highstreet.

Ken was saying that the Chelmsford Drag n street Rod club used to hand out flyers at the cruise for a showing of a Hot Rod film at a Cinema in Chelmsford after the cruise!
Strangely enough the first showing of American Graffiti, at a cinema in Chelmsford was an evening I mentioned in my intro (hi all!). There were rods and customs parked all over the streets around the Cinema. It was the koolest way to enjoy your first viewing of the film. A certain Model Y had snagged pride of place as I recall.

Heres some more piccys, these are from the 8th of november 86. The amc was stuart eckersleys, i used to knock about with him a bit, it always had a saxophone on the rear seat, it was apparently wrote off when a farmer in his tractor pulled out in front of him!, then we have wilf staceys zephyr before being written, then a ragtop pontiac (i think!) and a mk2 being 2 doored, what did that end up as?, more to come, oh by the way why do my pictures all come out little??
