    Discussing colours

Been discussing colours today with Peter and I think finally I have made up my mind! No , it’s not going to be a Hi Boy. The holes in the back of deck lid have been welded up to keep out fumes and rain.

Oh, I thought the grey was it! It's looking so nice, especially in that last but one pick. So I guess that's ('just') epoxy. Chosing paint colour is such a nightmare. Hope you choose wisely, the car deserves it!

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

    Colours

A long time ago Paul Thakray used his computer skills and came up with these pics of my car where he has coloured them in. Not saying if I’m using any of these colours though!

They all look good but like Neil I'm not an orange wheel fan.

yup, orange wheels are a bit 'beach buggy' for me on a rod.

Dunno, quite like the orange wheels, would be good with the browny-biegey-grey top right. Nice early '70s street rod style.

Love that deep burgundy Ian. So many wheel and tyre combinations would work with that… black steels, caps and whitewalls, gold wheels, Halibrands / 5 spokes etc both polished, unpolished, DOW finish with blackwalls… Brilliant progress.

I do now at last have a vision of how car will look, inside and outside, wheels as well and am now going to stick with it! I have to say again, none of this could have been done without Peters skills!

Getting there! The last of the metalwork, I found some original hood sides and had to have them on car, however all the Louvre’s had splits on the ends so had to be welded up. Also some splits around catches.

Am I right in thinking that the postings on this great job aren't a true reflection of the timeline?
