What the blue gloop called? I recall Blackpop using it and saying its good. Where does it come from and what do you do with it once it's on there? Cheers.

Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 converts any rust to a protected finish also any bare steel. Epoxy on the inside and outside then finish outside as normal. I've tried too keep grinding too a minimum too save thinning the steel

Cool, thanks. I've got something that'll need something like that in a few spots. 2 coatx required it seems. What's the coverage like? The small pots are 500ml.

It's very thin almost like water. The epoxy is a bit thicker tho

Confused now! What's the black stuff? I'm guessing it's the blue stuff doing its thing, but you did mention epoxy, hence my confusion! And the still blue bit in the gutter area makes me think the black has been applied arohnd it? There was mention of seam sealer or filler in the joint gutter seam (which is blue) which again I'm guessing might have something to do with it? Sorry to be an inquisitive pita!

The blue stuff has gone black too show it's worked. Epoxy paint goes over the top. Seam sealer or probably sikaflex will be pushed down in too the channel and smoothed too make sure no water sits in there as it'll cause rust ! I cant get in there too smooth it off as it's quite a deep narrow channel now

Really cracking on John, excellent work!

I've been cracking on with mine. Made a new fuel tank to include a in tank pump. I was using the original tank with a set of pumps and swirl pot n the boot. The high pressure pump I had was really noisy and I was getting fed up with the whine! Fired the car up and ran well at the weekend. I've got a few more jobs to be cracking on with before the season starts.

Yep always lots to do. I've worked out the capacity of the tank should be approx. 9 gallons now rather than the 5 gallon of the old tank. Suppose the real test will be whether I can get to the fun run on a single tank.... maybe!

Other capacities restrict our travel to about 1 1/2 hours tops! Might as well fill up at the same time as emptying out, but not literally though!

Are you finally revealing the mystery of who fills up the water buckets at petrol stations Chris?
