Thread: Dorset Gasser

    Dorset Gasser

After losing the use of Webshots I have now found Photobucket allows me to link to my photos. So, here is the latest Dorset Gasser pic. I may even work out how to control the size one day....

I've finished most of the major chassis and cage members so it is off the jig now and here it is mocked up to sort out the ride height and front axle position.

This one will be powered by a 6/71 blown smallblock by Merv Barnett and a Zannetec 'glide and 9" rear end.

Did this one used to have a Pinto motor and have the registration plate TME before it was a gasser?

I ask because it's the same colour as one around in the mid-eighties that Steve Sharman owned for a while before he built his full fendered '32 Roadster.

    On its wheels!

The new coil overs arrived yesterday so I was able to get the Dorset rolling at last.

The engine mounts arrived just before I shut up the workshop (thanks Miles) so I'll be able to crack on and get the motor and trans in very soon.

Oh, btw, i have a Zannetec Facebook page now....

Yes its a Land Rover box, I think it's the choice of most of the Bristol boys for push pull steering. I'd have slammed it with struts and a rack and pinion if I had my way :-)

Oh! I fitted the engine in place today btw.....

Looks good in today's pic, Zane. Did you move yesterday's ones as they aren't showing for me?

I loaded up four new pictures into a folder and then noticed I had misspelt the title so I then re named the folder. after that, although it says there are 17 photos in the folder they just won't show although the timer wheel is sat there rotating as if its trying to show them. I uploaded the four photos to another folder so I could show them.
