    Jag axle ???

Finally getting around to planning a new gasser chassis for my devon pickup. Slightly longer wheelbase to work with "kingcab " stretched doors. I have a posi E type Jag axle that I could use once rebuilt, seals & bearings etc, I keep reading that they arnt really suited to drag racing, but then cobra kit cars quite happily cope with 400+ bhp, But, never seen a gasser with a jag axle. Engine wise planning to use mild 400" pontiac from my roadster, currently runs 13.5. Got a blower in its future.
So which way to go and fit gasser criteria, rebuild or sell the jag and look for a narrow 9" ?
Norfolk & Chance....Racing for the hell of it!!!

Jag is pretty good but it's not really a drag axle, they tend to go bang over 350-400 brake plus you won't get the ideal launch.
As a side note a gasser has a stock wheelbase, if its stretched technically its AWB
Any advice or help given is actually based on having done the job, not read about doing it or Googling it.

hi m8, not sure if you want to run in the circus, but rules state parallel or transverse leafs, coilovers and ladder bars, no mention of irs.
might be best to contact nick for details.
