    Club Officials 1974-5

    Name: WVR NSRA Photo.jpg
Views: 761
Size: 279.0 KB This photo was taken around 1974-5 at The Welland Valley Roadsters Poker Run.
Can anyone identify the people in it please. I believe they are NSRA Officials but I just cannot remember
them after all this time. I could be totally wrong of course!! The only one I know is the guy with the 'Sam'
Tee shirt who I believe is Andy Crawshaw. (Wild guess!)
There seems to be a growing interest in the WVR so I'm trying to get some history sorted.
I was an NSRA member around that time and later became the first Chairman of the WVR.
    Many thanks.

Hi Bill, below is a list of the committee members from 1974 to 1976, most of whom I knew at the time!.
While most of those faces in your photo are familiar to me, none are familiar as NSRA `officials`and Andy Crawshaw doesn't show as a committee member back then!.

I also remember you at the Santa Pod meetings Bill, you always wore a black Stetson and had large sideburns, see photo below with you standing between Grannies Pride and Graham Kerrs VW NSRA `Office`!...

    1974 Committee
    Graham Kerr – Chair
    Simon Lane – Secretary/Editor
    Nick Butler – Membership Secretary
    Ian Spurrier – Events Secretary
    Clive Househam – Goods Distribution
    Micky Bray – Treasurer
    Mike Davies – PRO
Neil Clifton, John Baldacchino, Eduardo `Ed` Martinez – without portfolio.

    1975
    Committee
    Simon Lane – Newsletter Editor
    Clive Househam – Goods Distribution
    Steve Elliott – Event Secretary
    Neil Clifton – without portfolio

    1976
    Committee
    John Baldacchino – Chair
    Ian Spurrier – Secretary
    Simon Lane – PRO
    Micky Bray – Treasurer
    Nick Butler – Membership Secretary
    Mike Payne – Goods Distribution
Neil Clifton, Jamie Masarati, Mervyn King – without portfolio.

I think you'll find that they are all either WVR people as at least 2 of them have WVR badges on their jackets &/or they're recipients of the trophies, like Brian I don't recognise any of them as any of the then NSRA committee.

Thanks for the update! I wasn't too sure as I was told that they might be NSRA Officials as no-one seems to know who they are/were.
At least it answers the question and thanks for that. I remember the names Simon Lane, Graham Kerr and nick Butler but could not
pick them out if shown a photo of them. (I'm now into my '70s and the grey matter is getting cloudy to say the least!)
As for me and that Stetson......Iv'e still got it and it's in the loft!! Fancy you remembering me from then!!!
As an aside, I will be looking for a 5 window hardtop that needs some work from spring next year as I might not live to see a new
    build finished....
(Edited to add that was my wife and daughter and the blonde one is my son with me)

All of the guys faces are familiar to me but names are not so forthcoming!.
4th from the left `could` be Barry Treacy
5th from the right `could` be Keith Seume

But these are not positive I.D.s...

LOL!!! I'm sure Keith Seume will appreciate that comment!!!

As the three on the right look like dignitaries from the local authority, I would say they're more likely to be award winners at the presentation ceremony.
