1964 MK III Ford Zephyr 4 SOLD!
For Sale.
Owing to the current health crisis, and having to move house, I am selling my 1964 Ford Zephyr Hot Rod. I have had this since January and not done much with it, except look after it. This was going to be a running project for me, and I am sure that it will be a great project for someone else to enjoy.
Here is the lowdown. All modifications were done by a previous owner a few years ago. The engine is a 2.0 Pinto with a mild cam, Weber carb, chrome filter, stainless steel exhaust with a Powerflow muffler. This, along with the radiator and 5 speed gearbox, was probably out of a MK5 Cortina.
The wheels are American Racing 5 spoke alloys with wide white wall tyres, which are in very good condition. The spare is a standard wheel with a new tyre.
The interior was re-trimmed a few years ago, with under dash lighting, four speaker stereo, tacho, push button start and air horn control. The original wheel is currently in the boot, and a sports steering is in it's place. There will be a number spare parts, and a large car cover and paperwork included.
The paint was also done a few years ago, so it is showing signs of age. The body has some custom touches, such as the badges, the trim and the rear door handles being removed.
The car starts every time and runs really well.
Now the bad bits.
The white dash pad will need a good clean, or replacing. The driver side front and rear interior door handles need fixing, as they don't open the doors. The radio is not fixed in.
There are some rust issues. There are very small rust holes in the driver side door jam, which have been treated. The driver side door skin has come away slightly. There is bubble rust on the top of the driver side front wing, and on the side of the passenger side front wing. The driver side rear wheel arch needs attention, along with the areas by the front bumper, where the filler has cracked.
But the worst part, is at the end of the sill, just in front of the rear wheel on the passenger side. This will need a plate welded on. The boot floor was worked on at some point and seams solid, and a new carpet was installed, where a heavy duty battery was re-located along with an ignition shut off switch.
I can supply plenty of more photos, and videos showing the car running. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If my situation improves, I will remove the Zephyr from sale.
Looking for £4800 ono.
Cheers.
