    NSRA early Meeting minutes book

As per the title, are there minutes available for the Committee Meetings in '72?
I ask as I did attend one of the first meetings at some point in '72 but can't remember exactly when.
All that I can remember is that it was held in London somewhere and someone arranged a hotel for
    us to overnight.
We discussed the possibility of us being called The East Midland Division of the NSRA.(Stamford, Lincs)
Any help would be most welcome.

I`ve never seen any minutes of early meetings Bill, Roy Osbourne was the secretary for the first 2 years so if any were taken he would be the one who did them then passed them on to Simon Lane when he took over as Sec. Some early meetings were at the Timber Carriage, Harrow.

When I was on the committee in the late `70s I don`t recall `full minutes` (as such) being taken even then!, they more like scribbled general notes about who was doing what and what had been done since the previous meeting but not everything was taken down!...

The Timber Carriage was just along from my old haunt called the Half Moon . Some good memories from there apart from the police finishing their shift and coming in and taking it over . The Timber Carriage was demolished years ago and it's a block of flats now . The Half Moon is a shisha bar .

Thanks guys. Shame really as would have been very interesting to know.
We did become The East Midland Division of the NSRA but sometime in
'73, the members decided that they would like the club to be become an
independent one and so The Welland Valley Roadsters were born from it.
So, in essence, (as a Club) we are 50yrs old this year too.

The idea of area divisions (consisting of local NSRA members) was to organise local events etc within their area, but once formed a few NSRA area divisions broke away from the NSRA and formed their own smaller local clubs (like the Welland Valley Roadsters) back then Bill. It became a concern for the club as many members let their NSRA membership lapse because of belonging to the new breakaway clubs...

membership go due to 2 divorces and several house moves!
