Is the kickdown connected as it's essential to balance pressures internally. Otherwise you only have input from the vacuum regulator.

    Back on Andy's car.

His drivers door does not line up with the jaws in the B post with the door wedge and forces the door upwards as it closes. This means it needs a good slam to close and misaligns the door.

You can buy offset wedges - but these have already been fitted but it is not offset enough.........so I made a new one The pen line on the old one is where the wedge needs to be. Standard wedges are in the middle of the bracket.

This was all going well until I wanted to heat treat it to harden the ally. "Dangly male reproductive spheres". I guess the melting point of ally is quite a bit lower than my Mapp torch output.

Bumhats. It went a bit wibblepoo.

As I don't have any tubes of aluminium glue at home I had make a MkII version in steel as I only have steel glue here Blanks cut and starting to shape them.

And all glued together with the sparkly glue stick.

This should work nicely - I'll check it works smoothly before painting in case it needs a bit more profiling.
