    Shakey

Just seen an item on Google news snippets repeated from the mail?about urban explorers "discoverng" the remains of the old place. Shame it had to go so soon, might have got another few years out of it .

Yeah it’s a shame John, but they sold the whole site as far as I know, and there would have been noise complaints from the new home owners no doubt.

Yes, got to say I wouldn't want to live within earshot of it.

For the what, 16 weekends a year(?) I bet the locals would be happier with what they had than with what's coming!

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

You've hit the nail on the head there Chris. Maximum of 16 weekends a year and no consecutive weekends!! Most of those that lived in the immediate locality sure as hell didn't want the long term proposal for the site.

The only 'development' that had gone ahead so far is the 'initial' stage but the long term plan involved the redevelopment of the whole site into a new 'eco village', complete with housing, commercial and retail property. The site was one of a number that were earmarked back in 2016 for such development.
The 'stumbling block' seems to be the problem with the 'relief' road that will be needed to take all the new residents to their likely place of work in either Birmingham, Coventry or Bicester or the surrounding area.

i might be wrong but ive been told that most of the houses have been built around the drag strip which is still there and now the company has gone bust so they have now stopped with no more houses being built but obviously its too late now anyway to reverse it all
