Hot rod t shirt for 2 year old

I tried to buy a hot rod T shirt for our 2 1/2 year old neice, but there was nothing available at the Supernats.
So this evening I had a go myself.

Starting off with one of my old T shirts, and a child's top as a guide / pattern.
You're supposed to use tailors chalk, but that didn't show up on the white material, I also had a coloured tailors pencil, but that just didn't work today for some reason. So I simply cut around my pattern.

Here Ive stitched the front and back together. You can see here the blue stain which wasn't coming out.

Above you can see that Ive messed up, sleeves are stitched "inside out". Its only cotton so I unpicked it and had another go - wrong again! Finally sussed it out.

With the bottom edge hemmed up the blue stain has gone.
I kept the edge of the sleeves as per original. At least one bit of stitching still looks professional!

I may live in East London, I may have a number plate that reads "Chopt",
but I do NOT use 6" wheel spacers!
