1928 Ford Model A Sedan Project £8`000

For sale is my dad's 1928 Ford Model A sedan project. It is UK registered and was driving around at the Super Nats as a stocker 2 years ago.

It?s got a fully boxed originally frame which has had a kick up at the rear but keeps the original rear cross member. It has a box section centre cross member that someone has made.

It?s got an aftermarket 4 inch dropped beam axle with spindles, dropped arms, a speedway style vented disk brake kit. Some nice old chrome front bones with new split bone ends. New shocks from Duksville and a new front spring, perches, shackles and clamps. It comes with a vega style steering box and mount, stainless UJ, steering column and 4 spoke steering wheel. Adaptors from Ford to big Ford 5 on 5.5 for the wire wheels.

A set of 1935 Ford wire wheels, the rear tyres are used Firestone 7.50's and the fronts are new Nankang 6.50 x16 truck radials.

The rear axle is a Volvo which has already been changed to a Ford stud pattern (5 on 4.5") but it comes with adaptors to suit the 35 wires - Big Ford 5 on 5.5. This is mocked up with a set of new fabricated ladder bars and a panhard rod setup. It also has shock mounts, which the brand new Protech coil overs are bolted onto.

It comes with the full original interior, all of the wings, running boards and supports. Bonnet, splash aprons, Grille with original rad, headlight bar and headlights. Also all of the bumper brackets and chrome bumpers.

The body is in pretty reasonable condition especially for its age. All of the windows wind down, it has an opening screen and the doors shut well. The roof is good too.

It comes with loads of other new bits - engine mounts, hub caps, 12v wiper motor etc. Etc

The body is loosely mounted on the chassis and the chassis will need finishing off. The plan was to put a little Essex V6 in it and have a useable daily car for my dad. The V6 engine is also available with a 4 speed plus overdrive or a 3 speed auto.
