    Pop Steering Column

    Hi Guys.
I have just bought a 1954 Pop but need to adjust the seating to accomodate my expanding girth. I am having the seats modded and hopefuiiy going to moved them back and down. But has anyone any experience of Ididit tilt and telescope columns. My sticking point is the bottom adaption to the escort Mk2 steering rack as the Ididit has a double d formed tube. Does anyone know who to contact that might supply a U/J adaptor as it needs to mate to a spline on the rack end and a double d plain boss on the column end.
    Many in advance Neil

You need a double d to double d uj, a length of double d shaft and a double d to spline ( of correct diameter and spline count) uj. Other combos possible.

At the very least you'll need the dd / spline uj. Dd shaft can be made with round bar, they only need to be d'd at the ends. Milling, careful filing, even very careful grinding. Dont think escort shaft is fat enough as the dd is 3/4", but ways around that too, drilling, welding.

    Ducksville website is handy.

Someone's bound to chime in here with the escort spline spec.

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.
