Good evening (yes, it's the evening at the time of posting this introduction)
My Name is Elliot, I'm a new member of the NSRA and I'm new to Hot Rodding. I sadly inherited 2 hot rods from my late father. Both cars were unfinished projects, the first of which I recently had professionally restored to sell on. The second, I will have restored next year for (hopefully) keeping.
My first Hot Rod is a 1935 Morris Eight which was modified for drag racing in the 1970s by a previous owner. The car runs on a 327 small block chevy v8. Unfortunately the vehicle suffered a brief engine fire during my fathers ownership, and he never finished the rebuild. Over the past 5 months, I've had the engine rebuilt and fitted professionally so the car is ready to drive, and to sell on.
the second hot rod is a 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pick up (Known as the art deco truck), which my father shipped over from the USA. the truck was hot rodded by the americans, and fitted with a camero front clip. My dad had a new 5.6L 350 V8 big block fitted, before tearing the truck apart for a paint job that never got finished. My next project is to have this truck painted and fully restored.
I look forward to meeting members of this community at car shows in the future..
Many thanks.
Elliot.
