agreed, the phrase my dad often used was ''i'm not telling you this 'cos i like the sound of my own voice'' followed by some pearls of wisdom won't be forgotten for sure. especially when i here myself saying the same things to my kids, lol. and one of our daughters has often phoned dawn to say ''i was just telling ....... (insert name of one of her boys) off and i sounded just like you''. that was from the one who used to say ''if i ever have children i won't ever treat them like you treat me'', yeah right.
