spares you carry in your ride?

Lots of the people on here must be driving Yanks or cars with Yank motors fitted. The RAC/AA or your nearest Halfords probably won't be much help in a break down if special parts are needed.

so far, under the seat of my '50 (350 V8) Chevy truck I have accumulated:

Spare fan and P/S drive belts.
A spare Edelbrock fuel pump and gasket.
    Spare HEI dizzy complete
    Couple of spare spark plugs.
plus all the usual spare electrical fuses, wire, baling wire, cable ties etc.

Am I being paranoid about things going wrong or is something important missing here? What do you guys carry around in your rod?

    Stuart.
I've mended lots of things that had turned out not to be foolproof!

A coil. The fella (Jim) that bought my 46 broke down on the way home due to a bad coil. I never drove it far enough in one go for the problem to occur when I had it.
    Then all the usual stuff.

Driving an English car with an 'English' (RV8) engine and Halfords are still good for F all... unless you need a *flip*ing air freshener!

    jump leads
    water
    7mm,10mm and 13mm spanner/sockets
    dizzy cap/leads/plugs
