On pg 7, item 66 , we're into the Chelmsford film shows which I was closely involved with organising, and Mopar has posted some hand drawn adverts for these evenings. These were each done by different club members, and photocopied at Americar for distributing. I know the last one was drawn by me, and the first if memory serves was done by Keith Harvie, and the other may have been done by Robin (.?.) but I cannot be sure.
On pg 11, item 103, in the 4th photo, that Corsair with an Eastern cruisers sticker was mine, stock exterior, breathed on motor; a number of club members had been involved with Curtis Clarks two films, and we received invites to the premier of Cruising. Roger Sinclair, my wife Lorraine(who was 8 months pregnant) and I set off for the premier, and at a rate of knots in the outside lane of the A12 the engine decided to let go, sending shrapnel through the bonnet. It was tipping with rain, miles from anywhere, and Roger took one look at Lorraine and boldly announced he would go for help. Needless to say we didn't make the filmshow...
