    Pics that influenced you.

Do you remember way back when a particular picture caught your eye and made you think "one day i,ll have one of those". As a kid i had them all on my bedroom wall, roaring rat, speed freak, small fry etc but when i was older i saw this picture in street machine and its gone everywhere with me since, half way round the world when i was in the navy too. Excuse the quality, its a bit ragged now ! Anyone got a better copy of it ?

Now lets see some of yours..........

Roarin' Rat centrespread in Custom Car did a lot for at least one teenager

And had the pics from the feature on Cliff Pulde's (sp?) drag Pop on the wall in my garage while building mine back in the '80s. Mine didn't look anything that one, but it was a drag-influenced Pop.
Sent from my Kitchen Table using a little box full of smoke and dangerous radio waves

    there are loads for me...

Black Cherry 32 in the CC centrespread some time in the 70s

road legal 2 seat slingshot mid 70s in Rod and Custom (UK)

Henry Hirise front cover SM, 1979

the purple and green 26t (toyota engine) back pages of SM, late 80s/early 90s (still on the wall in the cellar)

Old No7 27 T in CC made me want that car so bad.....I bought it a few years later

theres also a red 32 that was in R&C early 90s, real low but not channeled, not really trad but not a billet queen....just a realy nice rod with a perfect stance....one of the reasons I bought my A
pervayors of finely crafted Hot Rod films and Ray Gun Gear t-shirts.

I was 13 when I saw this mag in my local news agents the car on the front just blew me away. I didn't know what a hot rod was then but became an avid reader of cc after that and any other rod mag I could find. I still think this is the best T ever built in the UK.
