More progress, bulkhead back from the dead!

These two pics show what we started with and what we have now. Lovely work. There was no rust but a real mess to deal with.

    Bulkhead

Here are a few pics of work in between start and finnish. There were lots of little plates welded to back of bulkhead so holes could be covered with filler!

Hi all, well i know when i first started thread i said car will be finnished by the end of 2013 start of 2014, well it is now looking like summer 2015! Any way car is looking good (to me any way!) the boot is now nr finnished, most of the outside edge of main structure had to be remade and new rumble seat hinges fitted, thanks again to fh ellis for making up the louvred outside skin. As you can see there was an awfull lot of work to do on the back of car, all of the channel that holds the trunk in had to be remade as well as the bottoms of the 3/4 pannel. I will put up more pics soon. Sorry about lack of more info, i just draw a blank evry time i start to use a key board. I can tell you that the work has stepped up and when the welding to rear of car and floor/ tunnel areas are complete pete is telling me he intends to tackle the roof!! So im bracing myself for some big holes/gaps as chunks get cut out and the wheeling machine takes over! The chassis was coming along well until i decided to do away with master cyl on bulkhead and go for underfloor cyl/servo, so that part of chassis will have to be altered. Happy xmas and new year all. Ps, hope your car is coming on well steve and i will call you russel over next week to arrange for post of box, many thanks, Ian

    Moving on!

Hi all, work on 34 is going well and rebuilding area around trunk is now complete. This work has held up work on rest of car and took a lot of time and work. Petes doing a great job on car and i have 600 pics from him so far on all work up to now so if anyone needs some info or detailed pics of a certen area let me know. I know i only post a few pics here, im afraid i have a melt down evry time i get nr a computer!. The floors are now welded in as are the sub rails. Indeed much work has gone on since these pics were taken and i will be bringing some pics to swapmeet.i went to see car this week and for the first time since i started with project could see a 34 emerging from the ashes and believe me there was a time after the blasting process that i felt like giving up. I was wondering if anyone out there has a pic of car when dave first brought it to the uk when car was black (i believe) i would love to see how it looked. Next weel i will post some up to date pics inc the work to roof! Ian

    Roof!

Hi all, work on the car is going well and much of the roof is done! The roof was not level and new screen will not fit even though it was measured by a pro! So as there was so much work to do with roof and front pillers re worked, it has had to be unchopped around 10mm! Around rear window where car was chopped the area of chop has been cut out and re made, these first pictures show what has been done to that part of car
