Regardless of who did what and who built it it must have looked good enough when 'full' of plod to have parted 'you' from your money ? I always fail to understand why everyone expects new panels and lead loading from a bloke in a shed working on his hot rod ? Then factor in what they paid for it compared to an actual new panels and lead loaded motor ?? Most of us are mere amateurs 'having a go' and don't have access to wheeling machines or the money to pay someone to do it for us . Maybe that's why rat rods are so popular now most have given up even trying .

PS Don't know Dave Haskell either so purely an impartial observer.

I've built a few cars over the years and always did the best I could with money, tools and skills available at that time. How would the cars I built in the seventies and eighties compare with my latest car, not well, but I would never get hung up on it it's just the way things are and how else are hobby builders going to learn there skills. I'm sure there are plenty pro builders out there that have built cars in there distant past that they would never accept at their current skill level
we are up here an we have all the fun drivin doon there

As you can see with the rear of car looking finished, the line of the trunk did not meet the line of rear panel, so peter altered the rear panel to make a neat flowing line, he also made up the bottoms of the rear 3/4 and they are ready (almost) to weld in. Sorry about sideways pics!

Yeah! Combe your hair you untidy oik ............ I bet you can't stop smiling now your Ford looks like a car again and not a jig saw puzzle.
whats the plan regarding colour, same as before or something different? I think Pete's got a few gallons of 'calor gas bottle' orange from the truck he painted recently

And as for colour, deffo not orange, some might think it will look a little plain the colour I have chosen but I want to sneak into a few classic car shows etc for fun! you will have to wait and see!

Hi all, a lot has been going on over the last few months so I will try to catch up with a few pictures! Pete has been very busy as you will see. Here is a shot with the fuel tank, made smaller and remounted so you can get your feet under it if your riding in the rumble seat! Many thanks to FH Ellis for modifying the tank they made many years ago before I owned car.
