10 days to go till dragstalgia debut.
I’ve got a list of bits to work through on the car to get it finished and with any luck it’ll be loaded up on the Thursday night.
Will it be fully finished who knows but it should be drivable to get in some passes and see what’s what.
This may show up some things that need altering / moving however you want to put it.

For me getting the car to the event is a win!
Getting to the startline, another win!

Ive still not driven the car but we’re just bolting stuff back on ect

Thanks guys. I’m going there to race but one win at a time!
I think it should be ok to finish I have a few evenings and few days remaining realistically.
Most is complete, lots of little odd jobs and a full nut and bolt check re grease!

hoping to get a little drive around the yard or mates farm before hand just Incase of any clear issues

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.

Bit of work today side trim securing devices made! Small sections of stainless with an m3 bolt tacked on. These slot in the trim and line up with the holes in the body. Washer and a nylock nipped up. Job done.
    rear lights connected up.
I’ve had a bit of sign writing done
Also started some little bits and bobs that need to be done,
We have about 4 working days remaining to finish up.
gotta divert to a low rider caddy exhaust for a bit too as an emergency job lol
    all systems go

We came up with a few ideas between us all but this did seem the quickest option and most importantly there unlikley to come loose / come off, you just won’t get a set here I’d then have to make some, not an issue just rather not lol

A long day in the workshop today. Lots of little bits ticked off the list that were needed! I won’t bore you with each and every thing but one thing was getting the rear arches on and it makes it look like a car again!

    Back again tomorrow.

Yesterday after doing a few more jobs I drove the Austin for the first time around the workshop yard.
    That’s a good thing!
It all seemed good as far as I could tell, obviously I’m going to be hypersensitive to every single noise I can hear over the headers. So need a bit more driving around the pits Friday to then take it out on track.
However, still not finished I’ve got a bit of time to work through the list prioritising the must do items!
