the a/c compressor is on it's way, i got it for the start bid of £95 plus £9.19 postage. bargain
neil.
ps..... it's pulley is for 2 v belts not the modern multi v type so easier to sort with my old school engine.
my a/c compressor arrived today, woohoo! forgot to get it out of the box and take a pic, doh!

it's been a while but i just ordered a gps speedo that has high beam and indicator warning lights on the face. the one i bought earlier with a tacho on built in will be used now on the cresta gasser project. i bought an autometer monster tach with shift light at the swapmeet so i'll use that on the dash of the nash.
neil.
i forgot to say the fe i bought for the nash had no dipstick or tube. the longest i could find to give me the most scope for cutting to length was a chrome bbc one at £15 so the tube is now cut to fit and mount as per stock ford. i'll trim and remark the stick once i change the oil and filter so i know it has the right amount in it.
neil.
i ordered a new starter and a thermostat housing for my fe engine so it's here when i need it.
neil.
and because i'm decisive i've just made enquiries about a 440 for the nash. if it comes off then it could get adapted to the ford o/d box that i've spent ages altering to fit the fe engine, lol.
neil.
i've not been good with updates for this lately so.... i've bought a mopar 318 and torqflite box, good runner from a '73 plymouth scamp. then as i can't leave anything alone i've bought a pair of early 340 'j' heads, a weiand inlet manifold (same as an edelbrock performer rpm), a holley 770 street avenger carb, an early 340 cam and lifters, a double row roller timing set, a high volume oil pump, a van oil pickup (i'll cut the sump to rear bowl to suit) keith black high compression domed pistons and file-fit rings. also a 2500 rpm high stall torque converter. it should be quite lively
but i digress, it looks like i've sold the torq thrust wheels currently on the nash. i know, i know but i have a soft spot for slot mags so..... i picked up a skinny (4.5") pair at the supernats and today agreed a price on a pair of 10x15's so slots it is, lol.
neil.
Thats a fantastic build buddy. Can’t wait to see and hear more
we got all of the tyres removed from the torq thrust wheels today ready for the guy to collect them. i'll reuse the tyres on the slot mags once they've had a good polish. i won't know yet if the rears will clear the arches to roll it back over to my main garage by the house, if not we'll have to fit a couple of others to get that done. either way the new rear wheels will stick out of the arches so there'll be some radiusing to do, fine with me as i like that look.
neil.
Good to see this one progressing again!
I may live in East London, I may have a number plate that reads "Chopt",
but I do NOT use 6" wheel spacers!
as i'm so decisive and never change my mind...... i've swapped the 318 engine and box for a jensen 383 and 727. i know i know i bought all those 'goody' bits to make more power from the 318 but it's a small block and i'm building a gasser so it really should have a big block right?anyway it's a mate so i may also end up dealing the parts for..... well i don't know yet, lol.
