Re-joining

I've just re-joined after a few years absence and had confirmation. Do I now have to wait a certain amount of time before being able to post and gain access to members only groups as they are still showing up as private? Also, I am not able to post in the Discussion group, Gasser Circus, Popular Front etc. however I am allowed to post in the classified section. On top of that when I click on my profile it shows details from when I first joined in 2008. Bit confused. Thanks.
