    All the best with your engine troubles, paint looks good.


    Just a thought - I had an SBC which was making a noise, it turned out to be the crank catching the sump.
    Resolved with hammer. Can't remember for sure, that may have been a 400ci.

    engine all rebuilt yesterday - big thanks to dad for putting hours inon engine too -

    was hoping to pick body up tomorrow and get engine back in but body not quite finished being polished - so weekend off of the recent stupidly late nights and long days on it all and as soon as body ready next week back on it ...

    new set rods with floating ends fresh set forged pistons - bit of scotchbrite and wd 40 that rust in bore just fell off... built back up as far as the blower - big day was gonna be tomorrow but as said paint shop not quite ready so need on hold for couple days -

    when he is ready we are going to take chassis to paint shop lift body on.. bring home swing engine and box in.. and fire up again .. everything is crossed ready for the fire up - wish me luck

    big thanks again to the ol man for his help yesterday -

    busy winter to get it wired .. and buttoned up hopefuly in time for summer

    Not much sun in Cornwall this time of year ... loading chassis up sat mornin.. headin paint shop drop body on then home swing motor in and try get it fired up either sat or mon ... see how I get on...

    getting there .. hope to plumb it up, fit rad and headers and lash up engine wiring again tomorrow or mon and refire it and hope engine sounds healthier now

    Getting there and looking good!

    I note the exhaust has too settings, kin loud and kin louder! Side exit gets difficult to live with darned quickly in my experience. Perhaps not too bad if you never have to go far, but if you live somewhere like Cornwall.........
