    toe in

Can anyone give me a bit of advice regarding the toe in on a '30 s axle I've read that it should be 1/16 of an inch but that doesn't seem a lot to me.
    can any one confirm?

It's always either experience or suck it and see Set up alwayas depends on YOUR suspension ie age of parts but rail aot crossply makes a huge difference due to grip and squirm when driving in a straightl ine. Radials on beam axles tend to need more toe in due to carcass construction alowing more tread movement.

In addition to Kapri's answer, also depends if the axle has +ive or -ve camber as there is a cone effect and where the king-pin inclination intersection with the contact surface is from the tire tread central circumference.
