Everything you need to know before you arrive at North Weald Airfield, Merlin Way, Epping CM16 6HR
Entrance:
Q: Has the entrance changed?
A: Yes. You now enter directly off the roundabout. Please follow the event direction signs when you arrive.
Event Timing:
Q: What time does the car park open?
A: 6:30 AM.
Q: When do sellers gates open?
A: 7:30 AM.
Q: When do buyers gates open?
A: 9:30 AM.
Q: When can I get my buyers ticket?
A: The buyers ticket office opens at 7:30 AM in the car park. Please buy your ticket before joining the queue to speed up entry.
Selling & Buying:
Q: Pre-entry is closed. Can I still sell?
A: Yes, you can pay cash at the gate, but pre-entered sellers get in first.
Q: Can I pre-enter to buy?
A: No. Buyers pay on entry.
Q: How much is entry for buyers?
A: ?5 for NSRA members, ?10 for non-members.
Q: How do I get my members? discount?
A: Show your valid NSRA membership card at the gate. Fridge magnets, photos of the card, or copies of the club magazine are not accepted.
Q: Is there a place to sell cars?
A: Yes, there is a dedicated car sales area.
Q: If my friend is selling and gets in before me, can I jump the queue?
A: No. Wait your turn like everyone else.
Parking & Accessibility:
Q: Is there disabled parking?
A: Yes, near the ticket booth.
Q: Is there parking for hot rods?
A: Yes, there is a special cool car parking zone.
Pets & Children:
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, but keep them on a lead and clean up after them.
Q: Can children come?
A: Yes, but keep them under control and get them a ice cream !
Food & Cash:
Q: Is there food on site?
A: Yes, in the car park and inside the swap meet.
Q: Is there a cash point?
A: No. Bring plenty of cash ? there are too many bargains to risk running out.
Q: Are card payments accepted?
A: Buyers gate accepts cards. Sellers gate is cash only.
Weather:
Q: Will it rain?
A: It?s March in the UK, so expect anything. Current forecast predicts intervals of sunshine with a chance of swap-meet treasure. Bring sunblock and a raincoat.
Parts :
Q: Will the parts I buy fit my car?
A: All parts were working at some point, so probably, but no guarantees.
Q: Do I really need another part?
A: Probably not, but if it?s rare, rusty, and cheap, yes.
Q: Will I find the part I?ve been searching for for 10 years?
A: Possibly, but likely five minutes after you?ve spent all your money.
Q: Will everyone be happy?
A: Yes, it?s hot rodders on a Sunday morning what?s not to love?
Q: Will any NSRA committee members give free hugs?
A: Yes, if you need a hug, Matthew is your guy.
