Hello from Germany

Hello dear NSRA members,


my name is Rene Kloss, I come from Germany very close (60 km) from Frankfurt/a.M. I have been active in Drag Racing for over 40 years, both as a driver until 2019 in the SuperGas & SuperComp classes (I raced a couple of times at Santa Pod), and as racedirector and speaker for drag racing for the "German Motorsport Association".
Today I am a proud teammember of "Michael Winters 37 Chevy Pro Mod team" www.MW-Racing.de
The topic of hot rods is already new to me personally, although I already had a lot of contact with hot rodders from drag racing.
I've been dealing with US cars and dragsters all my life, but even in the distant past I was fascinated by the Ford Pop, when the Boyle brothers arrived in Hockenheim in the 90?s at the NitrOlympX with their Ford Pop on their own axle, completed the race in the Super Gas class and then drove the 1200 km home again. From that point on, it was over for me and I have admired the Ford Pop/Anglia since childhood.
Recently, I fulfilled my childhood dream and bought a 1957 Ford Pop in England and exported it to Germany in February this year. Now I have the enormous challenge of bringing this wonderful Pop to the road in Germany.
I am looking forward to a great exchange with real professionals here in the forum. I certainly need support from some of you here, because getting a Ford Pop registered in Germany with a Spitfire front axle, a Jaguar rear axle and a V8 Rover engine is not that easy.

Welcome indeed Rene, I'm a friend of Tony Morris & Dave Gibbons & drove Dave over to Austria to collect his altered that you helped to find. I'm also a rodder & have been since the 60s!
