Some times them clutches can be a pig even on modern day stuff you can go back the next day and have no pedal!
At least it didn’t fight too much.

Hi Tom, Bleeding andy's brakes today revealed the gasket in my vacuum bleeder has shrunk, so it was not creating vacuumso that might have had something to do with it!
I did a little bit last night but mostly finished off all the jobs today.
The steering shaft cover now has the closing panel made and fitted.
And it is now finished and fitted in the car.
Another job ticked off the list was fitting brush strip to the handbrake.
Then I did the last job which was filling the sills with cavity wax and dropping it back down on its wheels. It got pushed outside before I took it out for a drive to check it all over.
Well, it's a bit of an animal! it's blimmin' fastSteering is a bit heavy and the driving position does not suit me personally, but once you settle into a car I expect it will be a lot easier. The manual gearbox certainly makes it more entertaining to drive for sure.
I pumped the front tyres up when I got back and also bled the brakes as they were a bit softer than I'm used to, just to make sure there was no air in them.
And that's it, it's all done. It's now tucked up in my front garage waiting for Andy to collect it tomorrow.
118 hours.

looking sharp
Mark : Those hubs & calipers do look VERY like the Volvo 240 ones on my 33, & the caliper number is almost the same.
^^ thanks for the confirmation.
Andy collected it yesterday & drove it home without any problems, so all good. It will be at Wheels day.
