    So far on Wicked Witch.
I had a general look over to see what’s ok and what needs altering. I removed the tunnel witch ment removing the speedway throttle pedal / cable.
Shifter removal, but some wires were through the tunnel, I had to cut the terminals off and poke them through the hole, traced the wires back and they went under the car and back in the bulk head, so will cross that bridge later on. I figured out I think what switch does what And will try to locate them all in one place.
Tunnel eventually removed after some rounded Allen key bolts were removed / drilled out.
It’s not the easiest tunnel to remove but we will work with it.
next was to pull the fuel line out we were changing it to a solid pipe along chassis and altering the lay out in the boot.
also the pump needed a better earth as wasn’t working to start with, the pump will be moved slightly anyway.
It was then time to swing the engine and box in for the first time as a little mock up, all seemed good.
a few things became apparent, the what will now be a throttle rod will have to be bent to shape but will be ok.
The down to earth alternator kit looks to fit spot on.
Water pump seems ok. Hose layout not bad but will alter thermostat as will need a better run to rad meaning a new top hose.
Bottom hose is ok, may alter slightly.
I then pulled the motor and box back out. Trimmed the pass side engine mount and started running the fuel line.
there’s a brake line that runs along side that tilk secure somewhere it’s a bit of a wobbly copper one. The brake lines are a point of possible attention in the future.
tabs welded on for the bulk head fittings and the hard pipe bent up.
Battery removed, fuel pump unbolted and re positioning taking place.

Neet Z28 and super neat exhaust system from one great project to the next.

Excuse my ignorance but whats the history on the Wicked Witch .. ? Another neat looking car destined for some inspired upgrades . Following along .

It’s an old gasser from the states, it was imported by Russ pepper who had a chassis fabricated then sold on, it’s now changed hands again and getting ready to go to the track, it’s not been on the track in the uk yet so essentially a new car
