Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Well behaved dogs are welcome at all cruise venues and around the Whitecliff Bay site.
At Osborne House and Northwood House dogs must stay in the park grounds and gardens only, so sadly no royal carpet treatment indoors.
Whitecliff Bay Beach is dog friendly, and Yaverland Beach is also dog friendly so there?s plenty of places for wet paws and sandy noses.
Will it be sunny?
We hope so. Anne has booked the weather? we?re just hoping it actually turns up.
Are the venues wheelchair friendly?
Yes. All venues are wheelchair friendly.
Are there speed bumps on site?
Yes? there are speed bumps at Away Resorts and Sandown Airport.
Your sump has been warned.
Where?s the best place for petrol?
Morrisons at Lake or Newport are usually your best bet.
Tesco at Ryde is another good shout before prices go ?tourist mode?.
Is there a gym nearby?
Yes. Sandown Heights Leisure Centre.
Although unloading camping gear counts as cardio.
What do I do if I get lost?
The What3Words locations are printed in the programme, so download the app before you arrive.
Or just follow the sound of V8s.
How do I know what?s going on?
Read the programme.
We spent ages putting it together and it?s packed with info, cruise details, times, maps and everything else you?ll need.
Read it. Read it. READ IT.
How do I know where the cruise is going?
It?s all in the programme.
We also hand out the daily cruise routes from the NSRA stand at the show field, so there?s no excuse for getting lost? probably.
Where?s the closest supermarket?
Tesco at Ryde.
What if I?m posh?
Marks & Spencer in Newport or Waitrose in East Cowes.
We don?t judge.
Where can I get a bucket and spade?
Pretty much every seaside shop on the island.
You?ll probably come home with rock and a fridge magnet as well.
Where do I collect my wristband?
NSRA wristbands can be collected at check-in on Sunday and Monday.
After that, the NSRA stand will be open every day from one hour before the cruises leave.
We?ll also be in the Culver Club on Monday for the welcome drinks.
Can you save me a beach towel?
We only have limited numbers, so it?s first come, first served.
If we sell out, we can get more made and post them out afterwards.
Do I get a free goodie bag, mug or plaque?
No, we have them available to buy.
Please help support the NSRA and grab one while you?re there.
Is there a charity collection or auction?
Yes. This year we are collecting for English Heritage.
We?ll also be holding a small charity auction on Saturday night, so bring your wallets and your bidding hands.
I?m bringing kids, is there entertainment for them?
Yes. There?s kids entertainment and activities every day.
Check the Away Resorts app for times and details.
Do I need a swimsuit for the pool party?
Yes. No skinny dipping? save that for after midnight.
What if I?m feeling a little down?
Nipper is on call giving out little hugs.
Side effects may include smiling and wanting another cuddle.
Are there irons and towels in my accommodation?
There are no irons provided by the site, so either bring your own or just rock the creases.
Towels are included in some of the posh accommodation, but not all.
If you?re unsure, check your booking details or you can hire them from Guest Services.
Where?s the closest hospital?
St Mary?s Hospital in Newport.
There is also a prison nearby? so try to behave yourselves.
Where?s the best fish and chips?
Ooze?s Plaice in Newport.
Other opinions are available? but probably wrong.
Where can I get good cakes?
The Old Smithy at Godshill.
Diet starts after Fun Run week.
Should I bring extra toilet rolls?
Yes. Trust us on this one.
Can I smoke in the accommodation?
No. All accommodation is non-smoking.
Should I download the Away Resorts app?
Yes. Please download it before arrival.
It?ll make life much easier during the week.

Pool 10am to 6pm
Bar 9am to 11pm
Food 9am to 8pm
Culver Club Dining 5pm to 10pm
Culver Club Venue 5pm to Midnight for drinks and dancing

Can I get a late check out?
Yes. Late check out can be booked through Guest Services? assuming you can bear to leave.
