    Event fire risk

With much recent talk about the current grass fire risk at events held on fields/grass areas it would appear Santa Pod has banned all but proper off the ground BBQs including firepits etc, this image was on the post I saw...

Common sense seems to be in very short supply these days.

Heard about a recent event fire caused by a gas stove falling over whilst being used inside a tent! And another report of huge pushback over the banning of open flames at a vw event. And another at a site in the Newport that is tinder dry; the owners have discontinued wild camping as some plank threw a smouldering disposable bbq over the fence into the adjacent forest. What tf is wrong with these people?

Some of it is caused by todays `entitled` attitude Chris. Whatever the situation some feel they are entitled to do what they want with absolutely no thought given for the consequences and effect on others...

Agreed, but there's quite a few of them! Lowest common denominator and all that. I'm quite surprised we're still allowed to have sharp instruments in our kitchens etc.

And Chinese lanterns are so wonderful, evoking care free emotions of freedom, hope, love and romance..... meanwhile, downwind......
