it's been a bit quiet in the garage as we've been indoors putting up coving, sealing edges and painting walls and ceiling. all this in the 'back room' that used to be a conservatory. we'll be back to the important stuff of interest soon

Gotta have fun in my old ageeven if I am a grumpy very Ol git.
got the 2 doors and frames in the back room painted during the week. yesterday we took up about 8 of the floor tiles where we previously tiled round the feet of the kitchen cabinet that was near one corner (removed now). my new chewalt sds drill/jackhammer is the nuts. with the 4ah chewalt batteries it's really powerful and made light work of the tiles and the adhesive underneath. tiling tomorrow then grout them and fit new skirting monday and it's finally done.

tiling and grouting now done so just the skirting to do tomorrow.
we had a viva magnum rear axle dropped off this morning for a disc brake conversion so we'll sneak that in between bigger jobs.

Nice too see someone is keeping busy !
Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.
something and nothing today but...... car related finally. i've been looking up parts for the viva magnum rear disc conversion. after much consideration i've ordered small vauxhall van 264mm solid discs, and ford focus rs/st rear (handbrake) calipers, brackets and pads. the disc size is only possible as the axle came with instructions from me to bring at least one of the actual wheels that'll be used on the car. these are 14" so we'll get away with the bigger diameter discs.
