Any advice or help given is actually based on having done the job, not read about doing it or Googling it.

A punch that fits into a hole and will mark a center on a plate (for instance) held behind. Come in sets for popular hole sizes. Imagine you were wanting to mark your home cut caliper brackets to fit the spindle and / or capiler - ok you could just do it by measuring!
i bought a cheapo chinese set from Harbour Freight (kind of US equivalent of Machine Mart only much cheaper and they carry tons more stuff that's more relevant to us - eg beadrollers). Work fine for my useage!

Bumper sticker - This is an historic vehicle and only has three speeds....... if you don't like this one you sure as hell won't like the others.
Can't you do what the rest of us do: use a pencil or biro to squiggle a small circle, then guess where the centre of the cirlce is and dot punch it with a sharpened old tap.
Seriously though, I've never seen them before, great idea though.
I bought my sets of metric (0.5 mm steps) and imperial (1/64" steps) transfer punches from J & L industrial http://www.jlindustrial.co.uk/cgi/insrhm they work fine, and do make it a lot quicker to do precision work without precision measuring.
Stuart.
I've seen a piece of kit that can replace the whole set pictured above, and it is just one item. It has a large chamfer on one end, and a small pointed pin right thru the center. The chamfer rests on either size hole, and you can punch the pin with a hammer.
I will Google for a pic.
here it is, Google on "universal transfer punch" 109.000 hits, should be able to find one !
That looks very easy to mis-align ?

"that Plymouth had a Hemi with a Torqueflite"
Nope Ian, I have worked with it, and it works a treat ! But you know how it is: a tool is never as good as the man handling it....;-)))
I've always scribed the hole through the template, then scribed a box, each side at 90 degrees around the hole, then scribe through the diagonals and you have the circles center, works great for big holes but a set of them punch's would be handy for small stuff
If you buy a set just get the metric ones - the steps between punches are small enough that you won't need the imperial version.
I got mine from J & L. I thought it was JML but realised that JML do crap gadgets on the shopping channel.
I had not seen these before bought a set from RS
