The British Film Institute had a copy of Cruisin' two or three years ago. I think you can arrange a viewing. No Shutdown though.

Well spotted Mark ! Just a bit to add Martyns piece on the fliming of Cruisin' on Southend sea front. Very good by the way Martyn. It was filmed at the end of 1976 they put some lights there to light some pieces up. Some of the other cars i remember being there. Street Odysey, Moondust, Brian Surreys 58 Chevy cop car, my 55 Chevy and a lot more. The Southend first official Cruisin' in all though it was always a hot spot for cars. motorbikes and scooters was arranged by the Eastern Cruisers. I think it was 1974 13th Sept. Hope i am right with year Martyn or even the decade!. p.s. 1975 13th Sept might be right date.

bl**dy hell, you learn somfin every day!! Well done nick thats a new one on me & ken obviously.....heres my reasoning, if you look in front of the last pic of the yellow pop you can just about see wild, on the showcard, so that got me thinking, as your pic is from stoneliegh 85 my suspisions for the southend show being 86 could well be correct?.....i think the karmen was richie kings? & cant remember whos the capri was but loved it, think it may still be about?? , the 1st pic by the way shows wild ride in its origional guise......

That Blackburn Beverley still exists to this day!! it now resides at the Fort Paull museum just outside of Hull. I saw it,went inside it last september at the YANCS car show, hope your glad to hear its survived,i think its the only one left, they were made in Brough about 15 miles from Hull and named after Beverley the town which is 8 miles to the north of Hull.....
