Calipers are primed and glossed up now - forgot to do these before...

Not posted recently as I've been steadily flatting & polishing all of the body. Still got to do some of the inside but finally it's time to start reassembly Yaaaay!!!!

Dug through all of the boxes in the loft and finally found the bits I needed, the rear wing support frame is bolted in properly at long last

And the struts from the cage to the roof go in, had to chisel a load of paint off where the fixings slide over the plate, seemed a bit funny after all the work of putting it on! Touch up pot to the rescue after they were bolted up.

Then I spent another couple of hours flatting the paint back on the rear wing frame and then polishing it up again.
Fitted it temporarily until I get some proper 3M sealer from work to seal the mounting plates securely to the bodywork. No doubt I'll whack my head on this several times before the car is finished, but it's a big Mojo boost to see it back on the car.

The rear wing will come out of the loft tomorrow to be flatted & polished, cant wait to see it back on the car again!!

Cheers guys, bit more progress today.
Got the rear spoiler out of the loft and flatted it back and polished it.........and flatted it back and polished it........and flatted it back and polished it......still not 100% happy with it as I can't seem to be able to remove all the flatting scratches for some reason
Might have another go at some point in the future but it will have to do for now.

I'll leave the spill plates off for now as I'll definitely cut my head open on them before its finished otherwise!!!

    Me too
    One of Andy Robinsons finest.

Not sure on next job, keep polishing the cage and the rest of the inside I suppose. Battery cables through the roof and wiper motor & shafts after that I think.
