Tach now fitted and I've started on the LED conversion for the gauges.
Managed to get the led fitted in the wheat bulb sockets on the speedo & tacho but for some reason the tacho one wont work when fitted? Works off the car and it works with the wheat bulb in the tacho but not the led....hmmmm.......
I cheated & wired the led's into the bulb heads so I can swap back to normal bulbs if necessary.
Guess which ones I haven't done yet

They look good Mark, bright enough without being distracting.
You were having problems with the transmission, any news on that yet?...

    Bri,
Not managed to get it to Watford yet, all works perfectly though.
Paul can't really think what the issue might be but he thinks possibly the planetary gears in the tail might be a little worn? Happy to leave it as is as long as it does not cause damage to the box to leave it.
Done over 300 miles in it now

I guess I should clarify - it's nice not to HAVE to go out to the garage - I only have to go out if I want to now

    Maintenance time!
Radiator is out to be re-cored, the only part on the car I have not had done properly yet. It worked ok but had a couple of tiny leaks so I'll get it re done with a more efficient core at the same time.

Some new parts arrived today - hi spec Ferodo pads that have amazing stopping power if the posts from users on other forums are correct - lets hope they are cos they sure aint cheap!

While brake pedal was out to replace the urethanes I took the opportunity to re-shape it to be a bit nearer the throttle pedal, didn't think I would be getting the spray gun out again quite this quickly! First primer coat on tonight.
