good & bad news tonight, good news - re wired the fuel pump & managed to thread it in the original loom trunking which is a result as I thought I'd have to run it under the car. Much nicer now the pump only runs when oil pressure reached.

Bad news is there is a puddle under the radiator not unexpected, its been stored dry for many years and rads don't like that.
Any recommendations on good rad re-corers in the slough area?

    X2. Highly recommended
They re-cored the Phaetons original rad using a `Z` matrix (same as Walker rads use), top job. Only a mile from me too ...

More good news tonight, ran the engine up again to full temperature - found some more pinhole leaks in the rad (which strangely sealed up as it got hotter) but the electric fan does not cut out any more - the loose connections were the confirmed culprit there. Fan kicked in and out and I set it to stay around 180/190 degrees - think that's about right?

Safe to take it out now for getting it re-cored.

Another vid of it running - bit better quality this time.

Noise in this one is my extractor fan removing the engine fumes!

Not made any progress today - tried to bleed brakes but the MC's would not shift any fluid.

Stripped them down & even though they were brand new they have not stored well over the years Had to order 2 new ones again - but on the bright side I can now do away with the rubber feed hoses from the remote reservoirs (had to buy new ones of those too) and do it all in stainless lines (currently a mix of stainless & rubber hose).

It does mean I will have to re plumb some of the stainless hard lines again though
